Designer Trading Cards:
This series of trading cards showcases the work
of Neville Brody.
I was assigned to research Brody's work and and style. In the upper
left corner on the front of each card, I used a different font manipulation
technique similar to what Brody has done. For one card I sliced the text with
a razor blade then rescanned. For another I crumpled the paper, burned the
edges, and rescanned. On the other card I poured blue and red hot wax onto
the text. |
Trading Cards Promotional Poster:
The Trading Cards Poster promotes
the work of similar graphic designers. Neville Brody and
David Carson both delt primarily with manipulating type.
The poster describes the work of each designer and how
they were both masters of the type of work they created.

Symbol Design:
The symbols above are for a hardware store. The
symbols represent the paint, yard, and tool departments.
The symbols were designed to be very simplistic, used
on any size scale, and be printed/viewed without any problems. |
Negative/Positive:
This stylized tracing of an actual photograph
I took of a skateboarder worked well with the negative
space that was created.

Land's End Layout:
For this project, the class was given the copy
and images to use to create an effective magazine ad layout
that created good eye flow and grabbed the viewer's attention.
