VCT 467 - Visual Communication Technology Synthesis

Client:
The Masons - an alternative rock trio from Cleveland, Ohio

Assignment:
For this senior synthesis course I was required to find an actual client to work for and create a website, video, brochure, cd-rom, etc. With this course perhaps being one of the most important in the VCT program, I chose a client that I knew we give me the opportunity to showcase my skills in visual media and also have fun while doing it.

Design Process:
Prior to doing this project, The Masons had very minimal promotional media for their band and shows around the Cleveland area. I decided to go all out and make them a website, video, stickers, postcards, and flyers. The website includes an opt-in mailing list, band bio, mp3's from their CD, show dates, photos, and a contact page.

When I think of the word 'masons' I think of bricks. With this in mind I designed to band logo to be textured like a brick, and used brown and burgandy as the website colors. The image in the header of the website is from a picture I took of the Wood County Courthouse. The building facade had a really neat masonry work. After some image modification in Photoshop I was happy with the way the header image came out.
