No professional experience is required. Students must be knowledgeable with operating a computer in both Mac and Windows platforms. Knowledge of Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, and design skills are a plus.

Job Responsibility:
Students must be willing to learn the written material and be able to demonstrate practical applications using HTML by the end of the course. A final project must be completed by the end of the course in order obtain a passing grade.

Personal Characteristics:
The majority of the audience will be incoming freshmen and sophomores at Bowling Green State University between the ages of 18-20. However, there will be upper class students who have never learned the basics of HTML and will need the knowledge in order to compete in their career field and apply the learned skills in other college courses.

Personal Preferences:
The audience must have an interest in learning HTML in order to succeed in the course. The course is designed to move along quickly for those who learn the material at a fast rate, but will also take time to help those who do not learn as quickly.

Cultural Characteristics:
Just like any other class at a large state university, there will be minority students, and they will be treated with equal respect. Student in this course must speak, read, and write the English language.

My assistants and I expect to receive respect and full attention from the students while we are teaching.

Students should understand the importance of HTML and its uses in their field of work.

Expectations about the Subject:
Students should expect to be taught clear and concise methods of what HTML is, how it is used, and what it can do.

Students should expect to see a web site created especially for the course. The web site will aid as a reference in learning HTML. They will be able to see examples of HTML and a definition with expansion techniques.

Students will read the document to help them learn the material for the course. The web site can be viewed as a reference on any computer with an Internet connection.
